OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT FLAG OFF 2020 WET SEASON RICE HARVEST


Ogun state government Yesterday flagged off the 2020 wet season rice harvest  in Obafemi Owode LGA of the state under the OGSG/FG/IFAD Value Chain Development Programme, a government-supported youth farming scheme. 


At the flag off ceremony, governor Dapo Abiodun said In April, dry season rice was harvested across 10 LGAs under the Ogun Youth Rice Production Enterprise, translating to year-round rice production in the State, as a result of his  insistence to sustain farming activities in line with COVID-19 safety advisories despite the lockdown.


The governor was ably represented at the event by Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Samson Odedina.
