FIVE ARRESTED FOR ROBBERY IN OGUN

 Five armed robbery suspects were on Monday 24th August 2020 arrested by operatives of Ogun state police command while robbing a motorcyclist of his motorcycle. The suspects; Yusuf Ogundimu 23, a.k.a agbara, Moses Anthony 23 a.k.a Opa, Moruf Olafimihan 24, Toheeb Shola 22 and Adeyemi Afeez 27 were arrested following an information received by the police at Sango division that the syndicate who specializes in snatching motorcycle within Ijoko, Sango, ifo and Agbado area were operating at odo Alamo area of Ijoko Ota. Upon the information, the DPO Sango division CSP Godwin Idehai quickly led his anti robbery team to the scene, on sighting the policemen, the suspects realized that the game is over took to their heels but were hotly chased consequent upon which five of them were apprehended. SEXUAL VIOLENCE COURT BERTHS IN OGUN SOON - GOV. ABIODUN

 Ogun State government says plans are on-going to set up a Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) court, to handle issues relating to sexual abuses and violence against defenceless people of the State. EFCC Arrests 15 Suspected Internet Fraudsters In Lagos

  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in the Lekki area of Lagos State. The suspects are: Sunday Okpe; Taiwo Adelagun; Obarakyo Tega; Fasuyi Oladapo; Mark Adedeji Kuju; Adelakun Kehinde Adewunmi; Temitope Gabriel Onore, Christopher Blessed and Aniche Ezenwa Francis. Others are: Abiodun Godspower Odion; Abiodun ThankGod Omoh; Raji Ayo Sheriff; Adeogun Babatunde, Olusesi Razaq Demola and Kole Adetoyinbo. The suspected internet fraudsters were arrested on August 15, 2020 at Ayo Babatunde Crescent and James Adejumo areas of Lekki, Lagos State, following intelligence received from concerned members of the public on their criminal activities. OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT COMPLETES ASAFA AYEGUN OJOFA ROAD IN IJEBU ODE

 Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun says the his goverment have now completed he Asafa-Ayegun-Ojofa and Molipa-Fusigboye Roads in Ijebu-Ode. According to the governor, the 1.5km and 1.3km new roads have been equipped with the necessary utilities and drainage, towards avoiding floods such as that of the July 2019 incident.  The Governor urged residents of the axes to shun indiscriminate waste disposal, and make the best use of these brand new, well-constructed roads.

WANTED NOTORIOUS CULTIST ARRESTED IN OGUN.

A wanted notorious cultist, Dare Ojugbele a.k.a stubborn 'm' of itawaya area of Ilaro had been arrested by men of Ogun state police command. The suspect was arrested on the 20th of August 2020  at about 12 noon when the DPO Ilaro CSP Olayemi Jacob was on routine patrol with his men along Idogo road and sighted the suspect who had been on the wanted list of the command for quite sometime on top of motorcycle. He was quickly intercepted and subsequently arrested. A search was conducted on him on the spot and the following items was recovered from him namely; one locally made pistol, one live cartridge, one 7.65 mm live ammunition and assorted dangerous charms. 16YR OLD BOY ARRESTED FOR STEALING 14 WOMAN'S PANTS.

  A 16yr old boy Adeniyi Muhammed had been arrested by men of Ogun State Police Command for stealing 14 woman's pants. The suspect was arrested following a report by one Amudalat Opaleye a resident of Kano street Ayetoro who reported at Ayetoro police station that at about 6am of Tuesday 18th of August 2020, the suspect sneaked into her room and stole her pant, but while trying to sneak out, he was caught with the pant. Upon the report, the DPO Ayetoro CSP Mobolaji Jimoh detailed his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested. A search warrant was executed in his dwelling house and another 14 used woman pants was recovered there.  JUBILATION AS OGSG COMPLETES 7.2KM FAJOL-GBONAGUN BYPASS  Residents of Asero and Obantoko communities in Abeokuta are jubilant over the completion of the Fajol-American Junction-Gbonagun Road reconstruction project by the Ogun State Government.  The 7.2km road is a reliable alternative route and inner road, which by its use, is set to bring some relief to residents of the area, by reducing the traffic gridlock that is daily experienced by them on the Abeokuta-Ibadan Road.  The road cuts across two Local Government Areas, namely Abeokuta South and Odeda, and will by its use benefit not only residents of these LGAs but also travellers using it.

Ogun State government says it is working towards delivering 2000 housing units at affordable prices to the people in a very short time.  The State Governor, Dapo Abiodun stated this Thursday when he received in audience the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Family House Fund, Mr. Femi Adewole, who paid him a visit in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. The Governor listed housing as one of the pillars & enablers of his administration, noting that the process has started with the construction of 150 housing units at Prince Court Estate in Abeokuta, just as efforts are on to replicate same in the other Senatorial Districts. The tl Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it attention has been drawn to some spurious news circulating in the social media, linking its Operatives with some contrived "Stop and Search" operations around Lekki axis of Lagos State. This was according to the head of media, and publicity of the Lagos state command, Dele Oyewale. In a statement earlier released, he said EFCC  We wish to state very clearly that its  Operatives were not and can never be involved in such operations. He urged Members of the public  to ignore such insinuations. Oyewale maintained that EFCC is a professional law enforcement agency and should not be linked with any traffic management operation on our roads.

 The Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has deployed additional investigative aids to Oyo State to complement the efforts of the Oyo State Police Command in the ongoing manhunt and efforts aimed at re-arresting Sunday Shodipe, a prime suspect in the multiple murder of innocent citizens at Akinyele LGA, Moniya, Ibadan, Oyo State. The additional deployment comprises crack detectives from the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and the Special Tactical Squad (STS) of the Force Intelligence Bureau, Abuja. The team is expected to bring their vast operational, technical and investigative experience to bear in supporting ongoing efforts aimed at re-arresting and bringing the fugitive to book. Many injured as hoodlums attack SDP secretariat in Ondo

 Many persons were reportedly injured when hoodlums attacked the secretariat of the Social Democratic Party in Idanre town, Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State on Tuesday evening . The hoodlums were said to have stormed the secretariat while a meeting of the party members was ongoing . The incident happened four days to the local government election in the state . According to an eyewitness , the hoodlums numbering about 20 , stormed the secretariat with dangerous weapons and beat up members of the party during the meeting . The cause of the attack was yet unknown as of the time of this report

Man in court for allegedly assaulting 100-year-old woman

 A 27-year-old man, Abdullahi Salisu, 27, who allegedly assaulted a 100-year-old woman on Tuesday appeared in an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court. The Prosecution Counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence Aug 16, 2020 around 3.45 p.m. at Sabo, Ile-Ife. Osanyintuyi alleged that the defendant and others, who are at large, attacked Bintu Adamu and inflicted injuries on her forehead. He alleged that the defendant also assaulted a housewife, Mrs Uman Adamu, 20. The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2020. The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt. The Defence Counsel, Mr Leke Dada, pleaded for the bail for the defendant in most Liberal terms.  Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, have arrested a serving military personnel, Lance Corporal Ajayi Kayode and 26 others for alleged internet fraud in the Lekki axis of Lagos State. Kayode, with service number NAF18/34732, was arrested in his military attire during an early morning raid at 6B, Fatai Idowu Arobike, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos,  on Saturday, August 15, 2020 following intelligence received from concerned members of the public about his alleged involvement in criminal activities. OSUN COCOA MERCHANT COMMITS SUICIDE

  One Festus Olawale has allegedly committed suicide in his cocoa store in Gbongan, Osun State. It was gathered that the deceased, a businessman dealing in cocoa, took his life by hanging himself in one of the rooms in his cocoa store located at Oke Ola area of the town on Friday. The incident, which happened around 8pm, created panic in the area when the corpse was discovered in the room. The father of four was said not to have left a suicide note or acted strangely before the incident. The Osun State Police Command said the reason for the suicide was not known yet. The command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the incident to our Alagbawi tv correspondent on Sunday, saying operatives had visited the scene. “From the available report, the incident happened around 8pm on Friday. One Olawale Festus, aged 43, of Oke Ola, Gbongan, hung himself in his cocoa shop and died,” she stated.

OLU BLOCK FOUNDATION AGAIN FEEDS OVER 200 WIDOWS

Olu block foundation today Monday  17th August 2020 again feed over 200 widows in Ado Odo Ota local government and it environs.  The event which started at 11:25am with praise and worship was followed by a very powerful word of exaltation and prayer session.  The chairman of Olu Block foundation, high chief Ibrahim Fayomi, the Otunba Apagunpote of ijebu land addressed the widows and again emphasized on the need for everyone not to see the program as a jamboree but a way to touch lives. When asked for the source of inspiration, the chairman said he got the inspiration from his late dad, who initially started the program be he took over.  Beneficiaries of the program expressed joy for being part of the program. They gave different commendations and encouraged the foundation to keep the kind gesture going.  The next empowerment program comes up next month.

INTERNET FRAUDSTER BAGS THREE MONTH JAIL TERM IN ILORIN

Kayode Balogun has been sentenced to 3 months jail term for internet related offense. Kayode who was arrested by the operatives of the EFCC on 17th of march 2020 was charged before the Kwara state High Court Ilorin on one count charge of criminal impersonation. According to information obtained by Alagbawi TV, from the Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday, August 13, 2020, the Commission said it secured the conviction of Kolade Emmanuel Balogun for internet fraud.   Balogun was convicted by Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin on one count charge of criminal impersonation brought against him by the Commission.

This was according to the Nigeria Center For Disease Control taking the total number of comfirmed cases so far to 48,116. 34,309 have so far been discharged while the total number of deaths recorded now stands at 966.  Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun earlier today inspected the level of work done On  the Abeokuta-Sagamu Expressway Reconstruction Project.  The governor who was heading to the office from his house in Ijebu Ode expressed satisfaction with the level of work done so far by the contractor handling the road reconstruction. The governor said he was glad  that engineers are already laying asphalt on the major, connecting intrastate road that will be available for seamless use to travellers, residents and the many industries operating around the corridor. The governor said his Administration's drive to develop road infrastructure will improve productivity, mobility and connectivity for businesses and the good people of Ogun State.

I PAID 50K BRIBE FOR OFFENCE I DID NOT COMMIT MAN RECOUNT ORDEAL IN THE HANDS OF POLICE

A man has narrated his ordeal in the hands of men of the Nigeria police force. The man who simply identified himself  as weird Fred on twitter gave account of how he was stopped by the police in Asaba Delta state while going for a burial in Imo state and was asked to bring his papers for check.  On checking the papers, the policemen returned his papers and ask him to enter the police van parked at the checkpoint where he was stopped. Weird Fred as known on twitter said he asked why he should enter the police van when he did not commit any offense but the only reply he got was a hot slap. Fred further stated that he was manhandled to the headquarter of special anti kidnapping and cyber crime unit  force headquarters in Asaba where he was detained for 5hours. After several torture, the police demanded that he bribe his way which he did by paying fifty thousand Naira before he was allowed to go.

    The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, said it men arrested 32 internet fraudsters also known as "Yahoo boys"  for alleged involvement in internet fraud. According to information obtained by Alagbawi TV correspondent, the suspects were apprehended during a raid on their hideout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Officers of the EFCC swept on the location,  after diligent analysis of series of intelligence gathered on their alleged criminal activities.

OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT FLAG OFF 2020 WET SEASON RICE HARVEST

Ogun state government Yesterday flagged off the 2020 wet season rice harvest  in Obafemi Owode LGA of the state under the OGSG/FG/IFAD Value Chain Development Programme, a government-supported youth farming scheme.  At the flag off ceremony, governor Dapo Abiodun said In April, dry season rice was harvested across 10 LGAs under the Ogun Youth Rice Production Enterprise, translating to year-round rice production in the State, as a result of his  insistence to sustain farming activities in line with COVID-19 safety advisories despite the lockdown. The governor was ably represented at the event by Hon. Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Samson Odedina.

One dead, many injured as bus catches fire on Lagos/Ibadan Expressway

 A yet-to-be-identified passenger was Monday, roasted to death while many other passengers sustained varying degrees of injuries, when a commercial bus with number plate LSD-715XV, suddenly went up in flames on the Ogun State axis of Lagos/Ibadan Expressway. The incident occurred in the evening, on the Long Bridge, inward Arepo. However, the existing collaboration between Lagos and neighbouring states in tackling emergencies prevented the situation from degenerating due to prompt response by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA). Confirming the incident, the Head, Public Affairs, LASEMA Nosa Okunbor, said the cause of the incident and the accurate number of those injured could not be ascertained. HIGH CHIEF IBRAHIM FAYOMI FORMALLY INAUGURATE OLU BLOCK FOUNDATION.

  Olu block foundation was today August 8 2020 inaugurated at it headquarters 6, Aiyetoro bus stop Mupin Ota Ogun state. The event started with the commissioning of the newly built foundation hall which was named in memory of late Dr Festus Olusegun Fayomi was commissioned by retired DCP Paul Omoidedia.  The event also saw members of board of trustees and members of committee receive letters of appointments. PASTOR ARRESTED FOR DEFILING TWO SISTERS

Men of ogun state command have arrested one prophet Ebenezer Ajigbotolwa founder and general overseer of The Church of Lord Olomore Abeokuta for defiling and impregnating two under age sisters (names withheld ).  The suspect was arrested following a report by the mother of the victims who reported at lafenwa police station that she fell sick sometimes in 2018 and was taken the church for spiritual healing. She stated further that the pastor took advantage of her sickness and asked her entire family of six to move into the church premises to avoid being afflicted with the same sickness. There and then, the prophet started having sex with her daughters of 16years and 13 years of age unknown to her.  The pastor impregnated the two under age girls and went on to procure abortion for them in a private clinic.
