ROBBERS ENGAGED POLICE IN GUN BATTLE, ONE SHOT DEAD.

 




     An armed robbery suspect was on early hour of Monday 9th of November 2020 shot dead by men of Ogun State Police Command while others escaped with gun shot injuries.

       This followed a distress call received by police at ikenne divisional headquarters at about 5 00 am. that a group of armed robbers had blocked road along Olabiro street in ikenne and dispossessing people of their valuables at gun point.

     Upon the distress call, the DPO Ikenne division CSP Noukauba Onuma quickly mobilised his patrol team and moved to the scene, on sighting the policemen, the hoodlums engaged them in gun battle which lasted for about 30 minutes at the end of which one of the hoodlums was shot dead while others escaped with various degree of gun shot injuries

      Recovered from the dead robber are; one cut to size locally made gun, one live cartridge and one expended cartridge.

      Meanwhile, the commissioner of police CP Edward Awolowo Ajogun has praised his men for their display of gallantry, he therefore warned that this should be a warning signal to any would be criminal who are deluding themselves that police are not working again to have a rethink as the command will go to any length in protecting the good people of Ogun state.

     He also directed that the fleeing members of the gang be hunted for and brought to justice within the shortest possible time.

  Saturday 22nd August Menu EFCC Arraigns Man for N17.5m Land Scam in Port Harcourt The Port Harcourt  zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arraigned one Kingsley Odum before Justice I. M. Sani of the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt, Rivers State for land fraud. He was docked on one-count charge of obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of N17,550,000.00 (Seventeen Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira). OLUWO IFADAMILARE EYINJU ELEDUMARE CONFERRED WITH MAYEGUN ONISESE ISEMBAYE TILTLE
