WE ARE NO LONGER SAVE, FERU, IKIBAWO FAMILY CRIES OUT OVER LAND INVASION BY THUGS BELONGING TO ALHAJI IBUOYE.
The owners of Feru and ikibawo land in Ado Odo Ota Local Government area have alleged one Alhaji Gbenga Ibuoye of constantly using heavily armed thugs to torment people of the Feru and Ikibawo.
According to the family, they claimed Ibuoye has for long trespassed on land belonging to winners chapel and destroying the fence of the land which belonged to the church and carried out illegal mining activities on the land.
The family said ibuoye deceived people of the area involved with promise to grade the road leading to the two communities not knowing it was for a illegal mining purpose.
One of the family who didnt want his name mentioned for fear of attack said on getting to know about the illegal mining activities in the area, the family approached ibuoye and informed him that the land belong to winners chapel and that the family sold the land long ago. One Kabiru Oluomo who is a member of the family while recounting his experience in the hands of ibuoye thugs said after they met with Alhaji Ibuoye, he resulted to bringing in heavily armed thugs to chase away family members from their homes in the community and that none of the members of the family can go the land till now. Kabiru further stated that the thugs brought in by ibuoye nearly killed him as he was attacked with guns and other dangerous weapons on the land but narrowly escaped the attack. Kabiru stressed that as a land owner, he has no cause to hire people to attack anyone on the land. He said contrary to Ibuoye claim that the land was located at Itele, he said the land belonged to Feru with a valid court judgementton back claim of ownership. He challenged Ibuoye to present evidence of receipt of purchase of the said land that he bought from the family. In his defense, Alhaji Ibuoye said he bought the said land from three families namely, Falola, Odunifa Falohun and Gbadamosi Onigbehin and that he has government approval to carry out mining activities on the land. He also accused the Sango Ota area commander Monday Agbonika of collaborating with land grabbers to attack workers on the said mining site.
Meanwhile, the Feru family have warned that tipper drivers should stay away from the site henceforth as the land do not belong to Ibuoye.
